As Spring glides across the sky over the Empire of Genius HQ in Shelly Bay the workroom is heating up, the Empire is building a new collection for Summer 2018 and designer Tymone Winter is focused on bringing you pieces that reflect European styling with sensual touches that elevate and enchant. This years’ Summer Collection focuses on fine silks, exquisite tailoring, and the luxury aesthetic that Winter is known for. These garments draw the eye as unique pieces while still allowing the wearer the fluidity required of a modern world.
Empire of Genius staged a world class show at the Bresolin for Winter 2018’s Chain Gang Collection and was subsequently invited to show at NZFW, exposing international crowds to the Rock n Roll aesthetic that runs through the Chain Gang Collection. These handmade leather pouches, which the wearer can mix and match, anchor to a stylish brass chain. The Collection also features duffels and fabulous shoulder bags which are now available at Goodness boutique on College Street in Wellington, both sassy and functional, this collection was inspired by the Blade Runner movie recently produced at Avalon studios, which Winter’s husband Ben Milsom Art Directed.
