Over the years, Empire of Genius has evolved into an umbrella brand, with its iconic leather bags, embroidered sweaters, and caps remaining signature staples of the label. While these timeless pieces continue to sit under Empire of Genius, Tymone’s seasonal collections are now released under Tymone Winter—a more personal expression of her design philosophy and craftsmanship.
About Tymone
I’m the owner, designer, and maker behind the label, which I started part-time in 2012 after my son turned two. Every spare moment was spent designing collections, making garments, running fashion shows, and hosting pop-up shops, all driven by a lifelong love of craftsmanship and clothing design.
Since childhood, I’ve been making and selling everything from leather bags and jewellery to swimwear and clothing. Over the years, that passion has evolved into thoughtfully designed collections created to flatter real people, with many pieces able to be tailored to your individual fit, style, and needs.
Inspired by years of travel and life by the sea in Wellington, my work is grounded in quality, sustainability, timeless pattern cutting, and effortless femininity. Every garment is made by my own hand using carefully chosen natural fibres, with a particular love for silk and beautiful vintage fabrics sourced from mills and factories of years gone by.
My hope is that every time you wear a Tymone Winter piece, you feel confident, beautiful, and inspired.
